Welcome to the new Retired Magazine website. The magazine for the over 55's.

Of all the ways to prepare a nourishing meal in the fastest possible time, stir-frying has to be the simplest. You can cook an amazing range of dishes, and because stir fried food is finely sliced and cooked fast using the minimum amount of oil, the nutrients in the food are preserved. Stir frying works best

in a wok, because the curved sides create a large cooking area, and food can be tossed around, but is always in contact with the heat. If you don’t have a wok, then a large frying pan will be almost as good. To get the tastiest results, marinate the chicken for 20 minutes before cooking.
